Medsafe has approved GLP-1 medicines — semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) — for chronic weight management in New Zealand. Pharmac does not fund them for weight loss. That means patients who need them pay out of pocket, and until now they've had to navigate a fragmented system of GP waitlists and private prescribers with no consistent standard of care.
changing curves is building the end-to-end alternative: consult with an NZ-registered prescriber, receive a prescription, have it dispensed by a registered pharmacy, and get ongoing clinical support — all without leaving home.
