About

Why we built changing curves.

Medsafe has approved GLP-1 medicines for weight management — but for most New Zealanders, getting proper, doctor-led care still means long waits, awkward conversations and a system that was never built for it. We're changing that.

Medsafe has approved GLP-1 medicines — semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) — for chronic weight management in New Zealand. Pharmac does not fund them for weight loss. That means patients who need them pay out of pocket, and until now they've had to navigate a fragmented system of GP waitlists and private prescribers with no consistent standard of care.

changing curves is building the end-to-end alternative: consult with an NZ-registered prescriber, receive a prescription, have it dispensed by a registered pharmacy, and get ongoing clinical support — all without leaving home. Every prescription is assessed by a real clinician. Every treatment is dispensed by a real pharmacist. The tech exists to make that clean. We're making it happen.

We hold ourselves to the same legal and clinical standards as any registered health service in New Zealand — because that is exactly what we are. No grey-market imports, no unregistered prescribers, no shortcuts on dispensing. Medsafe-approved medicines, assessed and dispensed correctly, every time.

Founded in Auckland. changing curves is built by a founder who is both a Chartered Accountant and a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand — because in prescription healthcare, getting the details right is the whole job.
